Open Letter to Myself

Dear Jacee,

Just breathe. Life is never how you plan it, but believe it or not, you are living the dream.

You and your awesome husband just bought your first house.

Someday you will reflect on your young 20's and be able to laugh about how you slept on the floor in the living room of your house by the fire place during the first winter because you had no furniture and couldn't afford to turn on the heat.

Someday you will reminisce about the days that you didn't have a stove, shower heads or running water, but you'll still be smiling. It could always be worse.

One thing you know to be true: you would live in a tent as long as you always have your best friend Danimal by your side. Together, you two can always find a way to make it work.

You don't need tv or internet because you and Dan will be content laughing by the fire while quoting lame movies, playing, and wrestling eachother. You'll keep eachother warm, you'll confide in eachother, he'll be with you during life's greatest experiences and hold your hand when it gets hard.

Whether it sometimes feels like it or not, trust me on this one: you are one of the lucky ones.
